Summer care is a must to prevent yourself from the damage caused by the scalding sun.
Scorching sun saps your energy and makes you lethargic. The heat emanated by the sun causes skin allergies, sun stroke and giddiness.

The topmost summer care is skin care. Your skin suffers the worst damage during summer. Premature wrinkles, dark spots, skin darkening and pigmentation are caused by the sweltering sun.
Protect your skin.
Never ever avoid sunscreen. Most of you are averse of using sunscreen because of the oily look it gives.
Better to have an oily look than have your skin wrecked by the sun, isn’t it?
For oily skin use sunscreen with gel base.
For dry skin you use sunscreen lotion.
Rub the sunscreen twenty minutes before applying foundation. This way you can prevent too much oily look.
2. EAT HEALTHY
Do not drink aerated drinks as they are very harmful to your health.
Instead drink plenty of natural fruit juices. Avoid adding sugar.
Drink coconut water.
Drink butter milk.
Eat lots of fruits like water melon, cucumber and musk melon. The water content in these fruits keeps you hydrated.
3. AVOID ICE WATER
Do not drink ice water as soon as you come home from the blazing sun.
Wait at least for half an hour for your body to cool down to room temperature.
Instead of refrigerated water you can opt of water stored in mud pots. It has natural chilliness and quenches your thirst more effectively.
Ice water hampers the process of food digestion by shrinking your blood vessels.
4. AVOID MID-AFTERNOON SUN
The most important summer care is to avoid the intense heat of mid-afternoon. Sidestep going out during this period.
If at all you have to go out protect your head. Carry an umbrella with you. Wear a hat for extra protection. Always wear sun glasses. Wear gloves to avoid skin tanning.
5. WEAR COTTON CLOTHES
An emphatic summer care is to wear cotton clothes as it absorbs sweat easily.
Synthetic clothes do not absorb sweat and makes you feel very hot and stuffy. Do not wear synthetic undergarments as it causes severe itching and redness.
6. AVOID PROTEIN RICH FOOD
Do not eat too much protein rich food during summer. Protein during summer is easily into urea and stored in your kidney which gradually causes renal failure.

7. AVOID OUTDOOR GAMES
Avoid outdoor games in summer. It causes giddiness and sunstroke.
You also suffer from heat cramps. Nausea, weakness and confusion are result of the staying in the scorching sun for too long.
If you live near seashore the humidity can be torturing.
Have bath twice a day.
8. EXTRA SUMMER CARE
Apply deodorant in your underarms to avoid the sweaty smell.
Change your clothes twice a day.
Apply powder between your legs to avoid bruising caused by rubbing of thighs.
Apply minimum make up.
Do not wear tight-fitting clothes as you feel sticky and sweaty. Always wear loose-fitting cotton dresses.
If you can afford it plan your vacation for the summer in some hill station. You enjoy family bond as well as escape the boiling sun.
