You indeed appreciate the desire of your husband to stay healthy and fit. But when his obsession in maintaining a trim body crosses its limits, you go crazy.
When your husband outdoes his passion for fitness by interfering into your food habits and life style you are naturally irritated.

As I always say, marriage needs many tiny aspects to make you happy. It is small things that bring great happiness into your married life. And it is small and silly mistakes that make your relationship uninteresting and tiresome.
Being too much of a fitness freak is one such needling and prickly aspect.
How to know that your husband is a fitness freak?
- Your husband consistently advices you about how much calories you should consume.
- He makes negative comments about your flabby body.
- Your husband spends lot of money on gym or exercise equipment.
- Your cooking comes under a scanner- the worst part of his obsession.
- Your husband counts his calories in whatever you cook for him.
- You might want to eat out, but your fitness freak husband never agrees to it as he feels it would affect his fitness.
- He is never appreciative about your cooking as he is busy calculating the calories he is consuming.
You cannot also tolerate his interference into the way you cook.
- “This dish has too much oil. It will add fat to my body.”
- “Steam cook the food as it consumes less oil.”
- “Don’t cook the vegetables. Let us eat it raw.”
- “Why don’t you Google and cook more healthy food?”
So much of cooking instructions, isn’t it?
And tons of interference into your way of cooking.
You become exasperated, irritated and annoyed by your husband’s obsessive concentration on calories.
How exactly does your husband affect your happiness by being obsessed with his physique and the food he eats?
- Your husband always diverts the conversation he has with you towards food.
- He goes blah-blah about exercises.
- Your husband insists you eat only food with less calories.
- He becomes a bodybuilding gadget freak.
- Your husband is too concentrated on maintaining good physique than on spending quality time with you.
- You lament that he is depriving you of your favorite food.
The obsession of your husband for fitness makes you literally want to yell at him. He eats food you painstakingly cooked for him counting the calories in it.
No appreciation.
Just calorie counts.
You just do not know what to cook for your husband.
When your husband becomes freakish about the calories he consumes, you hold your head in exasperation. His health consciousness slips into health freakishness making it irritating and maddening to co-exist with him.
Your husband is not satisfied by eating a healthy diet. He also thinks that doing exercises at home is just not enough. He visits gym to maintain his body.
Your husband gets carried away by the ads about exercise gadgets and buys them. He never thinks of the cost it involves. You fume within yourself about the reckless spending of your husband towards his fitness. You are alarmed when his spending cuts into the financial aspect of your family.
When your fitness freak husband is too conscious about his body, he becomes a little too criticizing about your physique. He thinks you too should look slim and attractive.
A fair enough wish.
But if you have a naturally plump body you resent the untoward comments of your husband about your physical appearance.
Does that mean your husband is wrong in being health conscious?
No!
Not at all.
Your husband is very right in noting his calories and weight. But when he becomes too conscious about it you are unable to cope up.
The obsession of your husband towards fitness and health instigates many unnecessary arguments between you.

Your husband lives in his world of health, calories and fit body. You resent his attitude thinking that he is a selfish husband who thinks only about his health.
How much can you follow the habits of your fitness freak husband?
- You too should be health conscious.
- Avoid bakery items, red meat, aerated drinks and junk food.
- Your cooking should be nutritive and nourishing.
- Regular exercises are very good for your health.
You should an active participant in the eagerness of your husband to be healthy.
Understand that health is the most wanted blessing in this modern world.
Many new illnesses are all related to your food habits. So, it is very essential that you cook healthy food for your family.
Health is the mutual need for your family. When your family is healthy it gives you incredible happiness and mental peace.
When even a single member of your family suffers from ill-health your total life is shattered.
So, you should be encouraging to your husband’s endeavor of maintaining a fit body.
