You often wonder whether God answer prayers don’t you?
Most of you feel that God turns deaf ears to your prayers
- Why should I suffer when I have done nothing wrong?
- Why am I facing problems after problems in my life?
- Why is happiness eluding me?
- Why can’t I be rich like my friends\relatives?
- Why do I always face defeats, rebuffs and rejections?
- Why did I lose my precious ones?
- Why doesn’t God give me success?
You have doubting questions whether God exists at all, don’t you?
I too had many doubts about the existence of God when I underwent the most harrowing phase of my life. Those were the days I spent in bitter tears. My husband’s business suffered its worst beating. We had no money. We were knee deep in debts. Relatives turned their back on us.
We prayed fervently for solace from God. He gave us none.
To add more agony to our miserable plight, my husband fell seriously ill. I prayed fervently for his recovery. I literally went on my knees begging God to cure my husband. But God did not answer my prayers. My husband passed away. My faith in God was shaken to its very foundation.
I vowed never to pray again. For nearly two years I never went to a temple nor did I pray at home.
Why was God cruel to me?
Why did He vent his wrath on me?
I was bitterly angry against Him.
‘God has nothing to do with the tragic events which happened in your life’ my brother told me.
I was taken aback by his words.
‘Do you mean to say that God is justified in taking away my husband from me?’ I retaliated with vengeance.
‘God can never change your destiny. In fact it is not his business to change what has been destined to happen to you. Nothing in the world can change it’ my brother continued.
‘Everyone has to die one day. It is tragic your husband passed away. But it is his fate. It has nothing to do with God’ my brother said firmly.
‘Have you become depressed and dejected after your husband passed away? No, you haven’t. You used to be a cry baby before. But now you have completely changed. I never knew you could be so courageous and confident. I also never knew you had writing talent. How did all this happen? God has helped you. Analyze for yourself’ he smiled.
The words of my brother made me think. When my husband passed away I thought I would die out of sorrow. But nothing like that happened. In fact I became mentally stronger to bring up my only daughter.
How did I gather such mental strength when I was a very emotional person always prone to anxiety?
My bitter experiences had indeed molded me. It had taught me many precious lessons. God graciously chiseled me into a very assertive person. He made me forget my sorrow by giving back my husband spiritually. Yes, my husband now exists within me.
Finally I understood God. He has really helped me. He has given me great inner strength. My mind finally woke up to the blessings God has showered on me. Now I begin my day thanking Him and end the day thanking him again.
Does God answer prayers? He does. But in His own time.
God does answer prayers. But in his own way. A way He knows is best for you.
He cannot say yes to all your prayers.
What happens if God answer prayers?
Always! Every time!
You become complacent and smug that God will help you. You do nothing. You just sit back and relax as you know God will answer your prayers.
God does not like you to live this way. He likes only those who help themselves. Not those who depend entirely upon him for help.
He does not live your life. He lets you live it your own way. He gives you incredible success when you work hard. But it does not happen instantly. He tests your perseverance by giving you problems. When you are suffering you never realize it. But when you come out of your problems you are a new person full of confidence and assertiveness.
Do you want incredible success?
Are you working hard towards it?
God answer prayers. Your hard work appeals to God as he likes people who are hardworking. Trust me, he gives you incredible success. God motivates you to work intelligently and smartly if you are willing to listen to him.
Does God answer prayers of everyone in the same manner?
A thief, a cheat, an honest man are all the same in the eyes of God. He does not show partiality. But He helps only the worthy. He knows who deserves His help and who does not.
An honest man might think he suffers in spite of his honesty. But he need not fear. His troubles actually molds him into a better person. He learns lot of invaluable lessons which guide him to his future success.
A man who cheats people might flourish. But God has other ideas. He watches silently as the bad man grows from strength to strength. But He strikes at the right moment. And strikes real hard.
Trust Him implicitly. He is always there for you. The magic of God answer prayers.
