Do you know that money cannot make you happy in your relationship?
Most of you feel that when you have tons of money, your relationship with your spouse will be happy and fulfilling. And that there would be no relationship issues between you.
But nothing of this sort happens.
Even with your hefty bank balance, you face many relationship issues with your spouse.
You are stunned as to why money cannot make you happy in your relationship.
Because the loads of money you have, does nothing to make your relationship with your spouse fulfilling to you.
All your money does to your marriage, is making the financial future of your family secure.
And giving you an extraordinary lifestyle.
Nothing else.
Yes!
You are shocked when money cannot make you happy in your relationship with your spouse.
Does this mean money is meaningless for the happiness in your marriage?
You cannot underestimate the value of money in your marriage. Without money, you cannot fulfill any of your family’s financial commitments.
- You cannot enjoy a good standard of living, without money.
- You cannot give your children a good education, without money.
But if you feel that money will make your relationship satisfying to you, you will be highly disappointed. Your love for your spouse will not grow, just because he or she is wealthy.
Initially, you feel thrilled when your spouse makes you feel rich by buying you whatever you crave for. But as days go by, you understand that money can only make you feel rich and wealthy.
And that money does not have the capacity to make your relationship with your spouse, fulfilling and satisfying to you.
It is because marriage is not about money, and being rich.
Your relationship with your spouse is all about emotional satisfaction and fulfillment.
When you do not feel emotionally fulfilled in your married life, the tons of money you have, peters to nothing.
It is sad that today’s modern couples pay more attention to their materialistic wellbeing, than to their emotional wellbeing.
Isn’t true that you chase after money, rather than chase after love?
You want all the social status things the world market has to offer you. Even after getting whatever you crave for, you are not satisfied. You want more and more money.
You want to be one step above your friends or colleagues, as far as your standard of living is concerned.
Your mind becomes totally fixated on acquisition of more and more social status things, to show off to the world that you rich and wealthy.
Invariably, the discussion between you and your spouse is almost always about money.
How much to earn?
What to buy?
How to spend money?
You talk about money.
You dream about money.
It is a harsh fact that you and your spouse often indulge in topics related to money. And not about your love for each other. Not about how much both mean to each other.
You are doing it all wrong.
Of course, money is very important for your marriage to survive. Without money, you will struggle to hold your marriage together.
- You need money to give good education to your children.
- You need money for the financial future of your family.
- You need money for your repayments and mortgages.
- You need money for your family’s entertainment.
The moment you step out of your house, you need money in your pocket to face the world.
But sadly, in your chase after money, you forget the most essential quality your marriage drastically needs.
LOVE!
Your marriage cannot survive without love. Because love is the foundation of your marriage.
The sad thing is that you feel that your marriage will survive on its own, provided you have money.
If this was true, you will not see so many marriages of celebrities and famous people who have tons of money, but no stable married life.
When you chase after money, your home might be full of status symbol things. Your friends or colleagues might envy your high social status.
But you will not enjoy the warmth of happiness, which only good relationship with your spouse can give you.
Becoming rich in this modern world is easy. All you have do is to work hard for your success. You will eventually attain it. Along with your success, you will also attain great wealth.
But after the success you so sought after ultimately comes to you, you do not feel happy.
All you feel is empty and lost.
To the outside world, you are envied by your friends\colleagues\relatives. It is because their eyes are only focused on your richness and social status. They envy you when you present a picture of wealth and prosperity.
But behind your smile, lurks a lost look which is not detected by others.
Only both you and your spouse know that you had missed happiness in your relationship, in your mad chase after money.
The priceless time being together has never been felt by you and your spouse.
Your ears have heard words of wealth, affluence, status symbols, but not about love. Your thoughts were always focused on cars, bungalows, latest gadgets and other materialistic things.
And not on how to show your love for each other.
Does this mean that you should not seek money?
Of course not.
You should do everything to make your successful. And you should make every effort to have your family well settled.
But everything has its limits.
Money also has its own limitations. You should make money as a means to provide your family with good things in life. But you should never ever consider money as an alternative to other important aspects of marriage.
Money without love is nothing.
Money might make you feel rich and wealthy.
The rustle of dollars might excite you. But money will not make you happy in your marriage.
This is the reason; both should spend wonderful quality time with one another to feel bonded with love.
When both enjoy excellent rapport, you cannot ask more in your married life.
When both are emotionally supportive towards each other, you feel fulfilled and satisfied in your relationship.
Something which money cannot do.
So, be balanced to know that money will only give you high social status, and not a happy relationship status.
Strike the right balance, to have enough money for your family, and enough love to enjoy happiness in your marriage.
And when you let the scale of your marriage to tilt slightly towards love, your relationship will have all the loving warmth needed for your happiness.
